Demi Lovato marks two years since her hospitalisation

Former Disney Channel star Demi Lovato has written an emotional post, marking two years since her hospitalisation.

The singer was admitted to cedars-Sinai hospital in the summer of 2018.

TMZ reported at the time that she was being treated for a suspected overdose.

Now, two years on, Demi is in a much more positive and exciting part of her life.

She's engaged to the love of her life and she's surrounded by the best people.

So to mark the occasion, she wrote a very emotional Instagram post.

Demi said, 'Today is my miracle day. I'm so blessed to have one.'

She continued, 'Each and every one. I never thought this feeling was possible.'

'And it’s not just because I fell in love (although that didn’t hurt), but because over the past two years, I’ve done more work on myself than I have in my entire life.'

'Things that used to keep me down for weeks or even months, pass like tropical storms because my relationship with God has provided me infinite security,' Demi wrote.

'Long before I had an engagement ring on my finger, I had the word 'me' to remind myself that no matter what, I vow to love myself.'

The 27-year-old added, 'You can't fully love another without loving yourself first.'
