Demi Lovato has opened up about her sexuality to Joe Rogan
Demi Lovato has come out as pansexual in an interview on US podcast The Joe Rogan Experience.
Saying that she has been closed off around her sexuality because of her religious upbringing.
In the interview, she revealed to Joe that she is ‘fluid now' and part of the reason she is so fluid is that she was "super closeted off."
But now she's attracted to "anything really."
The heart attack singer admitted she's only really coming out now because of her religious upbringing.
And that she is "proud" to be part of the LGBTQ+ community, or as she loves to call it, "the alphabet mafia."
She remembered hearing someone call the LGBTQIA+ community the alphabet mafia and living for it, "That's it! That's what I'm going with."
Adding, "I'm part of the alphabet mafia and proud."
Demi says her sexual awakening was while watching the famous kissing scene in Cruel Intentions between love interests Selma Blair and Sarah Michelle Gellar.
However, growing up in Texas as a Christian Demi admitted she felt a lot of shame.
She says that being anything other than straight was, "very frowned upon."
This is the first time Demi has labelled her sexuality publicly. In the past, she sometimes avoided the subject entirely, despite some hidden clues in her music
That was until her 2017 YouTube documentary, where she said "I'm very fluid. I think love is love."

The singer also opened up about her engagement to Max Ehrich and how affected her views on her sexuality.
"I was engaged to a man last year. I totally thought I'd be married, maybe pregnant right now, and that's not the case."
