The Emmy Awards 2023 (as they are officially called, after their September 2023 date was postponed) kicked off last night and here are some of the highlights.

 

1. Ayo Edebiri shares her love for Ireland!

Ayo Edebiri won Outstanding Supporting Actress in a comedy series for The Bear.

The actress has continued her on-running joke from a previous red carpet interview, in which she claimed to have worked on the set of The Banshees of Inisherin as Jenny the Donkey.

2. Kourtney Kardashian and Travis Barker pack on the PDA!

3. Pedro Pascal jokingly reveals the cause of his shoulder injury!

Pedro Pascal presented the award the best supporting actor in a drama series, and finally addressed why he's been in a sling.

"A lot of people have been asking about my arm. It's actually my shoulder. And I think tonight is a perfect time to tell everyone that Kieran Culkin beat the s--- out of me." he joked.

Matthew Perry sadly passed away on the 28th of October 2023. The actor was best known for playing character Chandler Bing in 'Friends'.

Charlie Puth celebrated the actor by performing an emotional tribute of the 'Friends' theme song, 'I’ll Be There for You'.

 

6. Jennifer Coolidge gives a shout out to the "evil gays”!

Jennifer Coolidge won the award for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a drama series for her role in the 'White Lotus'.

While accepting the award she joked, "I wanna thank all the evil gays,".

 

 

7. Kieran Culkin announcing he wants more kids!

Kieran Culkin won the award for Outstanding Actor in a lead drama series for his role in 'Succession'.

While accepting the award, the actor thanked his wife, Jazz Charton, "for sharing your life with me and for giving me two amazing kids,” before adding, "and Jazz, I want more. You said maybe, if I win!"

 

 

8. Christina Applegate's Standing Ovation!

Christina Applegate was emotional after receiving a standing ovation to present the award for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a comedy series.

The 'Dead To Me' actress, was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis in 2021 and looked stunning taking the stage in a red velvet gown as she was moved to tears.
