Gardaí continue to investigate into the criminal damage of a home in the Castletroy area in Limerick.
The house in College Court was destroyed during the early hours of Wednesday morning.
Videos have been circulating online which show a group of young people damaging the property.
The house was recently bought for half a million euro, and has since been boarded up.
The University of Limerick has appealed to those involved to come forward.
Local journalist David Raleigh, said the college has yet to confirm if the young people are students: "It's situated in the heart of the Universities off-campus accommodation community."
"This suspects that these young adults in the videos are maybe UL students."
The Housing Minister said the criminal damage "isn't funny" or "good craic".
Minister James Browne is also appealing to people not to "gang up" on young people or students.
Investigations are ongoing and Gardaí are appealing for the publics help.
