Twitter is rolling out an extended 280-character limit after a trial.
The company thinks the extra space makes it easier for users to - in its words - "fit thoughts in a tweet."
The social media firm insists the change hasn't affected brevity on the site.
But many tweeted to say they didn't want longer tweets, and wanted an edit button instead.
