UCD To Hold Referendum On Impeachment Of SU President

It's been confirmed an impeachment referendum will take place against the President of the UCD Student's Union.

Katie Ascough came under fire after she removed information about access to abortion services from a magazine, which was due to to distributed to students.

A petition of over 1200 students was handed into the SU offices on Monday, and accepted by the Union's returning officer.

It's after the first petition, with over 1600 names, was rejected as the SU returning officer questioned it's validity.

The vote is due to be held on the 25th and 26th of October.
