Two Teenagers Arrested Following Assault On Gardaí

Two teenagers have been arrested in Dublin following an incident that saw Gardaí and ambulance personnel attacked by groups.

The incident, which took place at Kilbarrack DART Station follows an earlier incident in Howth.

At around half 5 yesterday evening a 14-year-old boy received a head injury during an incident involving a large group of teenagers at Kilbarrack Dart Station.

While ambulance personnel treated the boy's injuries, they came under attack by the gang. Gardaí intervened and were assaulted by the group.

Two boys in their mid-teens were arrested at the scene.

The injured teenager did not require hospital treatment.

Another Boy Injured During Incident In Howth

Meanwhile a short time earlier in Howth, Gardaí were called to disperse a group of teenagers following an assault on another teenage boy.

The 16-year-old is understood to have fallen from the East Pier onto the rocks below during the incident.

He was treated at the scene and his injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.
