Two men in their 40's have been arrested and charged following burglaries in the Santry District
In the early hours of Thursday morning Gardaí attended the scene of a break-in that happened in the Falcarragh Road area of Whitehall.
The homeowner reported disturbing two men who were attempting to steal from the property and gave a description of the pair to officers.
A short time later Gardaí got a report of two males attempting to break into a house on Collins Avenue.
They were apprehended and taken to Ballymun Garda Station.
The two men have since been charged and are due to appear before the Criminal Courts of Justice this morning.
