Two Gardaí Hospitalised After Wexford Crash Yesterday

Two Gardaí were hospitalised in Wexford last night after being involved in a crash.

It's understood they were pursuing a car which had been stolen in the village of Piercetown.

Two Gardaí were hospitalised in Wexford last night after being involved in a crash.

They were pursuing a car which had been stolen in the village of Piercetown.

Gardaí in Wexford are investigating the theft of a car that occurred in the Piercetown area at around 5:15pm yesterday evening.

The vehicle was subsequently reported to have been involved in multiple road traffic collisions in the Wexford area yesterday evening, including collisions with two official Garda vehicles in the Kilmore Quay area.

The vehicle failed to remain at the scene.

Two members of An Garda Síochána were injured during the course of these collisions.

Both members were taken to Wexford General Hospital for treatment and have since been released.

The vehicle has been recovered and no arrests have been made at this time.

Gardaí say their investigations are ongoing.
