Two Dead, Two Seriously Injured After Three Separate Crashes

Two people have died and two people are in a serious condition following three separate single-vehicle crashes in the early hours of the morning.

The fatal incidents took place in Carraroe in Galway and on the N25 at Drinagh in Wexford.

While the third happened at Castledooey in Donegal.

Crashes In Wexford, Galway And Donegal

Gardaí and paramedics were called to the scene of a crash in Wexford at about twenty to two this morning.

One of the passengers, a 25 year old man, was taken to hospital where he was pronounced dead.

The driver in her 20s was also taken to hospital with serious injuries.

Two other passengers were treated for minor injuries.

This incident has been referred to GSOC because the car came to Garda attention before the crash.

One Dead One Injured After Galway Crash

About two hours later, at ten-to-four, emergency services in Galway were called to a separate crash.

This one happened on a minor road near Carraroe.

The driver in his 30s was pronounced dead at the scene.

A passenger, also in his 30s, was taken to Galway University Hospital.

However his injuries are not thought to be life threatening.

Finally woman's been seriously injured in a third single vehicle road crash in Donegal.

It happened on the N14 Letterkenny to Lifford road, near Castledooey, at around half 8 this morning.

Gardai are appealing for witnesses to all three crashes, and all three roads remain closed for technical examinations.
