A village in North Tipperary is aiming to become Ireland's first autism-friendly village.
Organisers of the Tidy Towns committee in Birdhill say they want to be inclusive to everyone. They've been handing out guidelines for businesses, as well as setting up a sensory playground for children with autism.
Local teacher Marie Ryan is a member of the committee explains what work they are carrying out:
"We've always tried to keep inclusion at the heart of everything we do so what we've done is basically we've got three separate areas that were working to try raise awareness of. I suppose the challenges experienced by people with autism and then we're also trying to educate the wider community about the condition and then we are also working on actually the services."
