It's harder than ever to find staff to work in Dublin City Centre.

That's the belief of the head of Supermac's, who says the high cost of living in the city centre is the main reason behind his difficulty in finding staff to work there.

Paid McDonagh said "In Dublin city, the cost of the accommodation has gotten so expensive, people don't particularly want to work in the city centre anymore."

The man behind Supermac's also said he had "no issues" finding people to work in his Balbriggan store, which was one of 6 new outlets to open around the country yesterday.

He believes employers will have to adapt to new attitudes towards work "Staff now want more part-time work, and hours that suit them. Generally speaking, employers will have to change."
