Spain To Become First Western Country To Offer Menstrual Leave

Spain is set to become the first Western country to offer 'menstrual leave'.

They'll allow three days per month for those suffering period pain while at work.

The Spanish government is due to approve the measure next week.

It'll join the likes of Japan, South Korea, Indonesia and Zambia in making the move.

The Spanish government looks also set to introduce free sanitary products in schools.

They will also pass measures to allow for sanitary items to be made available to the disadvantaged.

There will be a change to the price of sanitary pads and tampons too.

Provisions will be made to remove the VAT on the items in supermarkets.
