Forget Snakes on a Plane, it's all about Snakes in a Car for 2017.

Mundoo Island Station - based in South Australia - uploaded a video to their Facebook page that is the stuff of nightmares. It shows a red and black snake emerging from under the car bonnet while the car is moving.

The driver captioned the video:

"Driving from Adelaide to Mundoo Island Station, 100km/h, with an hour still to drive, a snake popped up in front of me from under my bonnet. It scared the living daylights out of me!He stayed with us all the way and could not be coaxed out of the engine well.

I have left my car in the middle of a paddock and hope that he finds his way out tonight.

He is a big red-bellied black snake.
Petrified would sum up my nervous state for the hour I had to drive.
I was hopeful that new cars don't have any gaps that a snake could move from the engine well into the internal section of the car!"

Check it out. Terrifying!
