It happened in Ashbourne yesterday morning
Gardaí say a woman in her 20s suffered minor injuries at a house in Ashbourne at around 7am yesterday morning.
The baby girl received serious but non life threatening injuries and is still in Temple Street Children's Hospital.
A man in his 20s was arrested and held at Ashbourne Garda Station and is due in court this afternoon.
