6 people have been charged in relation to the Hillsborough disaster.

One of those charged is match commander David Duckenfield, who will face 95 charges of manslaughter by gross negligence.

A huge stadium crush caused the deaths of 96 people in the ground during an FA Cup game between Liverpool and Nottingham Forest on the 20th April 1989.

Since the incident, there has been a campaign called 'Justice For The 96', which was organised by the families of the victims.

Other people to face charges include three other former South Yorkshire police officers, a solicitor with the force at the time of the incident and an official from Sheffield Wednesday, who play their home games at the ground.

There has been a huge reaction to the news, with British Prime Minister Theresa May among those who welcomed the decision to bring forward charges.
