Ireland will be without Johnny Sexton and Peter O'Mahony for Saturday's Six Nations opener away to Scotland.

Sexton's still feeling a tightness in his calf and won't be risked for the game at Murrayfield - which will most likely mean a start for Paddy Jackson at 10.

Munster out-half Ian Keatley joined up with the squad at Carton House today as cover.

For O'Mahony, a hamstring injury has ruled him out of the match and he'll have a scan later this week.

There was also concern for winger Andrew Trimble as he sat out today's session with a groin injury.

There was better news for Keith Earls and Sean O'Brien, as they both took a full park in training in their race to be fit for the game.
