Ryanair and the union representing Irish-based pilots have reached an agreement to end the dispute.
The row over promotions, base-transfers and annual leave had led to 5 days of strike action by pilots at the company's Dublin base, affecting the travel plans of thousands of passengers.
Recently, former head of the Workplace Relations Commission Kieran Mulvey had been drafted in to act as a mediator between the two sides in the dispute.
Both sides met yesterday for marathon talks lasting 22 hours until this morning, with the proposed agreement now set to go to a ballot.
In a statement, Forsa, which was representing the pilots said:
"Following a 22-hour negotiating session, which began yesterday morning (Wednesday) and concluded this morning (Thursday), agreement has been reached between Fórsa and Ryanair in the pilots’ dispute.
"The proposed agreement will now go to ballot, with a recommendation for acceptance from Fórsa and its Ryanair pilot representatives.
"The union has been asked by facilitator Kieran Mulvey to make no public comment while the ballot is conducted."
