Republic Of Ireland To Play Denmark In World Cup Play-Offs

The World Cup playoff draw has taken place in Zurich. 

The Republic of Ireland will play Denmark with the first leg of the match away for the Boys In Green.

At the draw, eight participating teams discovered which nation stands between them and a place at the 2018 FIFA World Cup.

The eight teams qualified for the play-offs were divided into two pots. The first will contain the four seeded teams, with the remaining countries going in the second pot.

The seeded teams in pot 1 were Switzerland, Italy, Croatia and Denmark, while Northern Ireland, Sweden, Republic of Ireland and Greece will be in Pot 2.

Four two-legged ties will be played, with the first leg taking place between 9 and 11 November and the return between 12 and 14 of the same month.

Northern Ireland V Switzerland

Croatia V Greece

Sweeden V Italy
