Cabinet Ministers are meeting at the moment to sign off on plans to ease restrictions over the summer.

There's due to be a return for international travel, indoor dining and crowds at live events in July and August.

The Taoiseach is due to announce the full details later on.

Ireland's Re-Opening, The Details:

Ministers are in a positive mood today with good news to be delivered.

Cinemas, gyms and outdoor dining will open on June 7th - along with outdoor gatherings of 100 people.

However they won't allow indoor dining in bars and restaurants until July 5th.

50 people will be allowed at weddings in July rising to 100 in August.

International travel is expected to return on July 19th.

However the Health Minister Stephen Donnelly says they're still examining a 'travel bubble' with the UK:

"The UK obviously is our closest neighbour, and we're looking very closely at how we could facilitate travel between here and the UK."

"But being mindful obviously of the fact that we're still in the middle of a pandemic."

Minister Hopes Events Will Be Back "With A Bang!"

Live event trials will run over the summer, with 5,000 spectators allowed from August 2nd.

Minister Eamon Ryan says he hopes live events will be back with a bang in August:

"Opening up a whole variety of different events."

"Less trials as we go into July and August, and more mainstreaming of people coming back."

Ministers are also suggesting  they could allow more than 5,000 people at large events that month if the trials go well
