Over 40 Percent Of People Turning To Credit Cards And Loans To Pay Bills

Over six in ten people find regular income just doesn't cover the cost of essential household bills.

A new survey shows 43% of people here are having to turn to credit cards, overdrafts or loans to make ends meet.

35% are having to dip into their savings to allow themselves to pay for standard bills for the likes of electricity and heating, according to the survey for switcher.ie

A fifth of people here say they're in debt, and are worried about it.
