Over 100 Brides In Dublin Could Be Without Dresses On Their Wedding Day

More than 130 brides could be without wedding dresses after the closure of a bridal shop in Dublin.

Wedding World in Fairview closed its doors on Friday without warning, leaving dozens of women fearing for their big day.

Its supplier in the UK, Dessy, is now responsible for orders and is urging customers who have made a deposit or bought dresses to get in touch.

One bride-to-be has described how she had to pay a second time for dresses after the shop closed.

Louise, who's getting married in three weeks time, told us "I was just hoping and praying that the dresses were there. We didn't even know if they were ordered in the first place. We didn't know if we just had to get new dresses".

She added "The dresses are in the warehouse and they'll post them out to us today. So we have the dresses, which is the bright side of it all, but we've had to pay 100% again".
