Prof Says Open Up Vaccination Portal
Professor of Immunovirology at UCC, Liam Fanning, says the portal should now be open to all.
"Who's left to get sick?"
"Besides the exceptional, unknown individual who may throw a curveball when or if they get Covid 19."
"So there's every reason why they should open up the vaccine registration to everyone and anyone who's over 16."
UK "Freedom Day" Will Be Delayed
Meanwhile, Boris Johnson will announce a delay to the easing of lockdown restrictions in England this evening.
It's understood the decision to put off "Freedom Day" on June 21st for four weeks was signed off by senior ministers last night.
It's over concerns about the surge in cases of the Delta - or Indian - variant.
