NPHET have reported 18,904 new cases of Covid-19 in Ireland today.
From this morning 1,011 people were in hospital with the virus, 92 of whom were receiving treatment in intensive care.
20,909 cases of Covid-19 reported were reported yesterday, with 1,055 people in hospital and 92 in ICU.
There were also 83 deaths reported in the last week due to Covid-19, which makes Ireland’s total to 6,035.
Close contact rules have recently changed with close contacts who have a booster jab and no symptoms of Covid not being required to restrict their movements.
