PlayStation has given us their response to Xbox Game Pass.

Sony has announced that PlayStation Plus and PlayStation Now will become one service.

PlayStation Plus is a requirement for online play, with a select catalogue of games released to download each month.

PlayStation Now involved older titles being available to install or stream.

The new PlayStation Plus Essential service will be 10 dollars a month.

It'll keep the monthly downloadable games but include more games to stream or download.

This will be welcome news for those that play casually or predominantly on multiplayer.

They can pay a fee every month and play several titles, with most multiplayer games available to play.

The new PlayStation Plus service is adding up to 400 PS4 and PS5 titles to the catalogue when it launches.

There'll also be more games available from older consoles including the likes of PS3 and PS2.

Most of the older titles will only be accessible on the 'premium' version called PlayStation Plus Extra.

PlayStation Now will essentially disappear as a moniker in the summer.

The new service will be launched in Asia first in June, before arriving in North America and Europe afterwards.
