Dublin City Centre's Moore Street is set for a revival with the opening of a new market in the area next month.
The new trading post is expected to brighten the area, which has lost many stalls in recent years.
City-dwellers can expect a wide array of "ethnically diverse" food on offer with both vendors and grocers, the Irish Times reports.
The market will be open from 9:30am to 10pm Thursdays to Sundays.
It comes after the 2020 Expert Group report on the Moore Street Market, which was commissioned by the Dublin City Council and suggested new stalls could restore the historic street's "vibrancy and variety".
The report added that Moore Street should be "regenerated into a dynamic, multicultural cross-generational, ethnically diverse buzzing street market that is steeped in history and character".
It also stipulated that any new market “should be designed for the urban city resident and not for the tourist” to create “a vital community hub in the north inner city that serves many different demographics and cultures”.
Green Party TD in Dublin Central Neasa Hourigan and Councillor Donna Cooney have welcomed the news.

Cllr Cooney, who chaired the market expert group, said expanding the historic market would help draw people into the city again.
Vendors are asked to offer vegetarian and vegan option alongside animal products and dishes.
