New laws are to be introduced to make it more difficult for students to cheat in assignments.
Websites advertising bespoke essays to those in third level will be outlawed under the legislation.
It will also be illegal to sit an examination on behalf of someone else.
It comes following concerns in the Irish education sector that students are "gaming the system."
