NATO's approved the next stage of Sweden and Finland's membership of the military alliance.
But it could still take several months for the countries to become official members.
All 30 NATO allies have different methods of rubber-stamping the applications - and Turkey's parliament still could block the process, because of concerns about outlawed Kurdish groups.
