Ahead of Mother's Day this Sunday, (you're welcome for the reminder) it's been revealed what Irish people consider to be the most important traditions associated with the occasion.
69% of peopled surveyed by Lir said spending time with their mum was the most important part of the day.
Flowers proved to be the most popular gift choice, with chocolates in a close second.
Most people say they expect to spend between €30 and €50 on gifts, with 22% spending upwards of €50...show off's!
90% agreed Mother's Day provides a great opportunity to celebrate mum and treat them for a day. The remainder said it was too commercial nowadays.
When asked which celebrity mum they'd prefer to share a box of chocolates with on Mother's Day, 39% chose Good Morning Britain presenter Holly Willoughby.
