31 buses came to a standstill between Dublin's College Green and George's Street shortly after 9am yesterday.
It comes as An Bord Pleanála nears the end of its oral hearing on the planned pedestrianisation of the area in front of Trinity College.
Taxis have been banned traveling south though the corridor during rush hour because of the chronic gridlock.
