Around 20 people have been injured after an escalator accident at an underground station in Rome, the Italian capital.
Footage shows the escalator speeding up rapidly as it gives way, leading to a massive pile up of people at the bottom.
The incident happened at the Republica station.
Many of those injured include Russian soccer fans who were in Rome for a Champions League match between CSKA Moscow and Roma.
The footage below is absolutely terrifying.
No one is confirmed to have died during the accident.
