Man dies after Firhouse assault
A man in his 60s has died following an assault at a home in Firhouse.
Gardai and emergency services were called to a home in the Carriglea View area at around 11:50pm last night.
A man in his 60s had been assaulted and was pronounced dead a short time later.
His body remains at the scene this morning – which has been preserved for a technical exam.
The office of the State Pathologist has been notified and a post mortem will take place later today.
A man in his 30s has been arrested and is being questioned at Tallaght Garda Station.
Anyone who was in the area between 11:30pm and 12:30am last night is being asked to contact Gardai.
