The complaints about Love Island are mostly over alleged misogynistic behaviour.
ITV head Kevin Lygo has said a review will be carried out of Love Island after the series ends.
Season 8 has racked up over 5,000 complaints to the official watchdog.
Ofcom has received many complaints relating to misogynistic behaviour from male islanders.
Lygo said he is 'very happy' with how the series is done but said an editorial review will be carried out.

‘We will always sit down and review what we think about it, what the reaction has been, how well it has done."
A duty of care process was set up in 2019 ahead of the fifth series of the show.
It follows the serious cases of mental health issues of past participants, including host Caroline Flack who took her own life.
