A new survey's found Irish workers are sleep deprived, anxious and worried about their finances.
A survey of over 13,000 people found that 80% of workers felt that poor sleep has had a negative impact on both their energy and mood.
24% say they struggle between pay days with many saying they're often barely managing financially.
Patricia Hyland is the Director of Wellbeing and Corporate Sales with Laya, she says "It's fascinating the patterns that emerge when you take a holistic view of company health scores, for example those working in the technology sector tend to be younger, more physically fit and healthy yet their emotional well-being can often be well below the average score."
"The key is interpreting the data to customise a programme of health and wellbeing that's an absolute fit for a company and identifying the hidden connections between the health and well-being metrics that give rigour and depth to workplace well-being programmes."
The survey also found nearly one in five male workers are obese, with those working in media being most likely to be obese.
