Irish Water plans to reduce water pressure between midnight and 5 am from Monday night, however, exact locations are still unclear.

Irish Water's crisis management team is meeting this afternoon - with levels at a critical stage.

Irish Water's Eamon Gallon says while daytime restrictions aren't on the cards right now - it can't be ruled out in the future. He says: "This is likely to continue for weeks and months to come until we get to a point were we can forecast enough water to get us through Autumn and Winter."
