Investigations are underway into the cause of a major fire at a Ballymun hotel and apartment complex.

Around 200 people were evacuated from the Metro Hotel when a fire broke out last night.

Thankfully there was no loss of life or injuries.

Over 60 firefighters battled the blaze which left two floors completely gutted and others significantly damaged.

Chief Fire Officer Patrick Fleming says at this stage the cause of the blaze is not suspicious.
