The HSE is set to start trials on the Contact Tracing app next week.
However, the Executive hasn't announced when it'll be available to the public.
It was first announced on March 29th at a briefing in the CityWest Convention Centre.
But delays centred around it's compatibility between Android and Apple devices have slowed the launch.

Contact Tracing App Trials Begin Next Week
A spokesperson for the HSE said it'll be launched when a few requirements are met.
"The app will be launched once it is fully operational and the necessary approvals have been received.
Once it's released, the contact tracing app will be voluntary and opt-in.
It will use bluetooth technology to communicate between devices.
If a person spends a period of time in the same area as a confirmed case, a notification will then be sent to the device."
The HSE has said the device is being designed in a way that 'maximises' both privacy and value for public health.
Meanwhile some other countries have already launched contact tracing apps,
The apps have been designed to help in slowing the spread of COVID-19.
However, some researchers have expressed concerns about the accuracy of Bluetooth technology.
