High Of 24 Degrees Forecast This Week

It was announced in recent days that Irish people are the fifth biggest buyers of sun cream in the world - a new report shows we lathered on 538-thousand litres of it last year.

Well get another bottle of it ready because the sun is here to stay this week.

Here's what to expect:

MONDAY

As morning mist and fog clears, it will be a warm, dry day with sunny spells. Highest temperatures of 20 to 24 degrees with light variable breezes.

TUESDAY

 Again, after any mist or fog clears, it will be warm, dry and sunny with highest temperatures of 20 to 23 degrees.

WEDNESDAY

Wednesday will be mainly dry with sunny spells but the chance of a few showers in the afternoon. Highest temperatures of 19 to 23 degrees with light breezes. 

THURSDAY

Thursday will be a somewhat cloudier day with some heavy showers. A few may be thundery. Highest temperatures of 19 to 23 degrees with light breezes, warmest in the south.

FRIDAY

Friday will bring a mix of sunny spells and some scattered showers. Highest temperatures of 16 to 20 degrees in Connacht and west Ulster and from 20 to 24 degrees to the east and south. 

WEEKEND 

At the moment it looks like next weekend will be mainly dry apart from a few showers on Saturday. Temperatures will range from the high teens to low 20s.
