Greg O'Shea Ends Rugby Career In Instagram Post

O'Shea is well known for his stint on Love Island in 2019. 

Greg O'Shea has announced he's ending his Irish rugby sevens career.

The 26-year-old started playing with the national side in 2017.

After being a part of Munster's academy prior, he played in the Sevens Rugby World Cup in 2018.

Most recently, he represented Ireland at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.

Many will know Greg from the infamous Love Island season in 2019.

That featured the likes of Maura Higgins and his eventual partner Amber Gill.

The pair won the fifth series of the show, garnering just shy of 50% of the public vote.

In the post he said his life had "always been focused" on his rugby career to date.

He said it was a "really difficult decision" to decide to retire "from the game I love."
