Glastonbury is taking a break this year, but when it returns in 2019, the act of putting your spirits in a plastic bottle might be banned.

Glass bottles are already banned for obvious health and safety concerns, but it looks as if plastic bottles could follow suit.

Organiser Emily Eavis told BBC 6 Music at the NME Awards last week that the festival is planning a ban on plastics.

"Well there's lots going on at the moment, we're working on banning plastic bottles."

"It is an enormous project, it's taking a lot of time to tackle it with all the different people we work with."

"That's the big project at the moment, to get rid of plastic bottles across the whole site."

Here's the problem though.

If the festival is to actually completely ban plastic bottles, will it also mean that no traditionally bottled water will be available on site?

It remains to be seen what's going to happen at Glasto '19, but it seems that the organisers have made themselves clear.
