Gavin James has announced he's headlining a New Years Day concert on January 1st 2022.

He's going to be supported on the day by True Tides, Erica Cody and Brad Heidi.

It's just one of an action packed suite of events taking place in Dublin over the two days.

Tickets are on sale from 9am on Friday.

Five More Events For NYF

That's just one of six events taking place for the New Years Festival this year.

Dublin City's due to "come alive" over the two days, with something for all the family taking place.

The Countdown Concert was already announced before, and Picture This will be leading it.

Those lads are going to be supported by Lyra and Ryan Sheridan.

What Else Is Happening?

There's four more events on the schedule across the two days.

The New Years Magical Matinee has live performances from Róisín O, Hudson Taylor and Fia Moon.

Kids are welcome to the free event at Dublin Castle, and it starts at 5pm on the 31st December.

It's free to go but you will still need to book a ticket.

If you fancy heading out to party later on that night, you can ring in 2022 at the New Years Eve Street Party on St Stephen's Green South.

Hothouse Flowers, An Emotional Fish, Cathy Davey, Frances Black and Something Happens will entertain the crowd there.

More details are below.

What About January 1st?

Fear not, because there's plenty of entertainment taking place on the first day of 2022 as well!

As we mentioned at the top of the page, Gavin James is headlining a concert at Dublin Castle.

There's also a free family fun day taking place in the Castle, it starts at 2pm and continues until 5pm.

Again, this is a free event but you will need to book a ticket to get in.

Finally, one more family friendly event is taking place at Meeting House Square in Temple Bar.

Music in the Square runs from 2pm until 5pm, and also it's free but you'll need to book a ticket.

The full line up will be announced shortly.
