Gardai at Pearse Street are looking for information on a silver Volvo which was involved in a hit and run incident which left a member of the force injured yesterday.
They say the XC90 vehicle with an 04 KE reg came to their attention in the Grand Canal Street area.
Later, it failed to stop at a checkpoint, and Detective Garda Tom Gallagher suffered arm and leg injuries when he was dragged 30 metres on Baggot Street at around 11am.
It later crashed on Waterloo road, and the people in the car fled the scene.
A man and a woman in their 20s were later arrested.
Gardai are looking for anyone who may have footage of the car on their dashcams or mobile phones to get in touch.
