The FAI has released a statement regarding Covid-19 vaccines in the Republic of Ireland squad.

Earlier this week, reports suggested almost ten players in the current Irish International squad haven't got a Covid-19 jab.

Whether it's down to medical reasons or personal choosing - that remains undetermined.

One of those unvaccinated is West Brom forward Callum Robinson, who says he has chosen not to.

Robinson has contracted Covid-19 twice since the start of the pandemic.

The two bouts of the virus has resulted in him missing eight games from a possible thirteen for ROI.

The FAI have released a statement saying they encourage players at all levels of the game to get vaccinated.

They have acknowledged that people are entitled to make a personal choice on the jab and that should be respected.

Despite vaccination status, the FIA say they test all players and staff before reporting for international duty.

They say they also regularly test individuals during international camps.
