Over €2 Million Worth Of Heroin Seized At Dublin Airport

Two people have been arrested after heroin worth over €2 million euro was seized at Dublin Airport.

The drugs were found hidden in the luggage of a woman who had travelled to Dublin from Lahore in Pakistan.

This massive heroin find was made by Revenue Officers and Gardai from the Drugs and Organised Crime Bureau.

15 kilograms of the drug with an estimated street value of over €2.1 million euro was found in luggage belonging to a woman in her fifties who flew into Dublin and was met in the arrival hall by a man in his thirties.

Both individuals were detained and brought to Ballymun Garda Station for questioning.

Meanwhile, in a separate operation this morning, Revenue Officers seized 285 litres of wine at Dublin Port after a car was stopped and searched after disembarking a ferry from France.

The wine has a retail value of around €4000 euro.
