Housing Minister Says Problem Is Being Fixed Today

Local TD and Minister Darragh O'Brien says he was made aware of the issue by local swimmers after videos went up online:

"I had made contact yesterday, straight away, with Irish Water and the Council."

"There was a problem actually with the sewage mains there, which is being rectified today thankfully."

"But these types of things, we don't want to see them."

"Certainly for me, as Minister and a TD for the area, it's very disturbing to see it."

"I'm glad it's being addressed but it shouldn't happen."

"Frankly, it shouldn't happen."
