Medics Outline Re-Infection Case Study

Elsewhere, medical professionals have reported what they believe is the first case of Covid-19 reinfection in Ireland.

A 40 year old female healthcare worker presented with symptoms in April last year.

She tested positive for the coronavirus.

Seven months later the same woman presented with milder symptoms.

The details of the case are reported in the Irish Medical Journal.

Workplace Outbreaks In The Mid West

Finally, public Health teams in Limerick, Clare and North Tipperary are tracking 156 close contacts.

Those are from 53 workplace related Covid cases.

They're investigating 28 outbreaks related to places like beauticians, offices, factories and small retail outlets.

Health officials there are urging people who are returning to work to attend the walk-in testing centre in County Limerick first.
