Demand For Children's Summer Camps Skyrockets For The Summer

The demand for kid’s summer camps this year has soared, with many parents struggling to find a spot for their child.

One parent's helpline says they’ve been "flooded" with calls, while some camp organisers have added additional dates to accommodate the rush.

With another summer at home ahead, the demand to get kids out of the house and into summer camps is rising.

ParentsLine says they’ve received hundreds of calls from parents who are struggling as summer camp places snap up.

This is yet another challenge and it's happening while parents are busy, some trying to get back to work.

Some Families Prefer Online Camps

Meanwhile, Science4You camps are offering Zoom classes as well on-site fun.

Iliyana Filatova says many parents are still opting for remote courses:

"Some just prefer to do that online, and they'll just share that with us."

Cúl Camps say they’re at 70 percent capacity while spots at Leinster and Connacht Rugby camps have been completely sold out.
