Cork Gardaí Appeal For Witnesses Following Assault And Attempted Robbery

Gardaí in Cork have launched a witness appeal after an assault and attempted robbery in Fermoy last evening.

A woman in her 50s was attacked while walking her dog at St Coleman's at 6.40pm.

She suffered non life threatening injuries during the assault.

An unknown male fled the scene a short time later and Gardaí were called.

Gardai believe the man suffered injuries to his face and neck during the attack.

They’re also appealing to anyone that was in St Coleman's Park and the local area between 6:15pm and 7pm to make contact.

In particular, Gardaí are appealing to anyone that's noticed any man that they know with visible and unexplained injuries to the face and neck
