Well, how can you describe that?

Conor McGregor and Floyd Mayweather entered a packed Staples Centre in Los Angeles for the first of their 4 media conferences on the world tour.

In a nutshell, it's not what many people expected. The two men got up on stage and gave a speech where they were able to get their japs and quips in, but there was no chance for rebuttal (which was proven by McGregor's mic being turned off) as both fighters were asked to do their thing.

A lot of the online commentary was about what on Earth Floyd Mayweather was doing, but anyone who has seen Mayweather in press conferences before would know that it's just what he does. He talks about himself, how much money he has, how he can't be stopped.

Floyd also told some blatant lies. Clearly he does care about whether or not the fight is in an octagon. He has no intention of fighting with 4oz gloves. He's not an idiot, he knows McGregor likes to pull up people on their nonsense, and all of that was simply to get a rise out of Conor, which he got.

If you were living in the US looking at a $100 PPV fee for that fight, would that press conference urge you to buy it? Not at all. For everything we know Conor McGregor and Floyd Mayweather are capable of, it was a let down.
