Good news for Chelsea fans, they've been granted planning permission to build a huge new 60,000 seater stadium in London that will cost over 500 million pounds.

In the plans, the current Stamford Bridge stadium will be demolished to make way for the new state of the art facility, which will include a walkway to close by public transport, similar to the one at Wembley.

"We are grateful that planning permission was granted for the redevelopment of our historic home," Chelsea said in a statement.

"The committee decision does not mean that work can begin on site. This is just the latest step, although a significant one, that we have to take before we can commence work, including obtaining various other permissions."

However, there is still one more hurdle for the club to jump before they can begin the construction on the planned stadium. The London Mayor Sadiq Khan must give the final nod.
